Crashes on iphone4

Hi everybody! Downloaded this app 2 weeks ago. The ishihara modes or the "load image from gallery" mode crash the app or block the iphone. The image area goes black and there is no reaction to controls. When it comes to support, the provided e-mail address from dankam is not working. You just get the standard mailer deamon, couldnt reach destination crap. And apple is also extraordinarily helpful. When i asked for a refund, i was told to contact dankam :-| Tried that, wrong mail address, but i cant submit a second problem-report on the same problem. Just so professional, apple, thanks. As for the reader: Save your time and your 2.50, dont buy this app!

Not sure how to use the app

Great idea but need improvements. It does not have initial setup or tutorial. Not sure if I need to adjust anything or if I should just use it as is. Color blind people are usually not confident if they see colors correctly, so an initial set up will help and will assure the user that the application is working for him.

Virtually useless

Doesnt help one bit. The filters change the colours to other tones that I still cant confidently differentiate. Minimal instructions or explanations. Useless in normal room light without a flash. Dont waste the $. Maybe soon some other developer will get it right.

Skeptical initially, but it actually works

I am red green color blind since birth. 42 years old who score 0/10 in ishihara color test. Looking through the filter, I score 10/10. So happy!!!!

Absolutely incredible

As someone whos lived with colour blindness for 35 years, I can say this app is truly amazing. To finally know for sure what colour something is, its mind-blowing. Thank you.

Garbage

Useless. Waste of money.

Helpful for colourblindness

I have red green colourblindness. I have indicators which are either yellow or green. Without any assistance I am not able to differentiate between the two colours. I just downloaded this App and thankfully, with this app, I was able to differentiate them. Very practical.

Almost perfect

This app is fantastic. I really would like a pair of enchroma glasses but this is the next best thing. The only problem I have is that the interface looks very old and the app has not yet been updated for the new phones. Other than that, I CAN SEE COLOR!!!

This app lets me do things Ive never been able to do

I bought this app, opened up a photo with colors I know that I cant see, held up my iPhone and saw what I was missing. Amazing. This is highly recommended for any color blind people. The refresh rate is slow, and the interface is a little rough, but its completely usable and offers an amazing in-your-pocket answer to "What color is this? Is this green?" I cant wait to go shopping with this app.

wow.

This app is nothing short of amazing. Next time you cant decipher a chart, or you find yourself confused and staring at your closet, DanKam will totally bail you out. Applications like this are exactly what the iPhone was made for.

Its a good start

I was blown away looking at the color vision test to see what I was missing. Ive only tried the augmented reality indoors and frankly, it kinda useless. First, the refresh rate is horrible and second, no matter how much I tinker with the settings, the colors I CAN see end up distorted while the ones I cant come through. Doesnt help much when you want to see what one color looks like against a known background. Havent given up on it yet, but for now it definitely should be considered a work in progress, and the price should reflect that. As it is, its overpriced for what it can do.

Respect and Gratitude

Dude. For a hacker hero to also deliver an augmentation of truly heroic impact... Im stunned, and deeply grateful. On the right hardware, this will be even more useful. And youve just renewed an already profound enthusiasm for real AR. You rock. And thank you. That was mighty neighborly of you.

Awful

All this does, is allow you to adjust the colors of the cam or picture. Im colorblind, I cant adjust the hue!!!! $3 for nothing.... Wheres the test to determine colorblindness and the auto adjust to show me what Im missing. I fell for this, hook line and sinker. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Works

It does work Im RG color blind and was able to pass the color blind test using this app.

Keep trying

To those of you who suspect or know youre colorblind, rest assured this app can help you see differently. To those of you who tried the app and quit, frustrated, I suggest you try again. O finally found the setting that helped me most was the HQ filter with the slider all the way to the left. Thanks Dan!!!

This is amazing! Ive never been this excited in my entire life!

I downloaded this and began looking at everything in my apartment. This could change my life!!

What does it do?

Does this app come with a user manual? What the heck does "HueQuantize" mean and how does it differ from, say, "Daltonize"? What does the slider do? I am colorblind, but I dont see what all the hubbub is about... Fine, I can pass an Ishahara test now. But it still doesnt tell me what color that tie at the mall is.

Life saver!

Thanks for making this! Color blindness has been a hindrance for me for years and with this app I have more confidence to face the world.

Worthless.

Really, directions are needed. I can make the image different but dont know if its corrected. Massive waste of money. Do not buy!

Nice; need help w/ interpretation

Thank you for this intriguing app! After a few minutes of playing with it, I have some suggestions as to how to improve my personal user experience. - Add "captured image" as source, and/or "add to Camera Roll". After tapping the source picker the captured image is lost. I worked around this by using the camera app to save an image, but it seems like a straightforward enhancement. - Add ability to cancel source picker, useful because of frequent accidental taps on tab bar when moving slider. - Add tool to hover over image and report color. It would be especially useful when hues are quantized. How about a magnifying glass on tap-hold that filters all but one configurable hue? - Include an annotated test image to analyze the active filters effect. - It would be useful to have an interpretation of the active filter available on demand, such as "red is mapped to green, green is mapped to blue". I realize this may be hard or imprecise except maybe in "hue window" mode, but a hint is all I need. My hue memory, even between taps, is extremely poor, so being able to label hues would make a big difference in usability. How about a legend with a color patch and label based on the active filter that I could move next to a sample to identify by comparison? - If the filter algorithms are not proprietary, I would appreciate a link to more information.
